Lost & Found

Have you lost something on one of our trams or buses? You may be lucky and find somebody has handed the item in to us, or one of our staff members has found it. In collaboration with the SBB, we provide to option to report lost property and we will notify you as soon as it is found.


Reporting lost property

You can report your lost property in two ways:

  • At the BVB Customer Service Centre at Barfüsserplatz (CHF 15.00)
  • Online (free)

If your lost item is found, we will send you a notification by SMS, email or letter, and you can it pick up at Basel SBB station.


Lost property items

The following items may be found during the next working day at the Customer Service Centre at Barfüsserplatz (061 685 14 16 or kundenzentrum@bvb.ch):

  • Electronic devices of all kinds (laptops, mobile phones, etc.)
  • Wallets, purses and identity documents

Saturday, Sunday 09:00 – 19:00

Sunday 09:00 – 13:00

Property lost in a public place

If you have you lost or found something in a public place, please contact the Lost Property Office at the Einwohneramt (Residents’ Registration Office), Spiegelgasse 6, Basel.
